Hey I'm new to the tournament scene and I heard there is two tournaments in Flagstaff this year. I wanted to know what the two are and which one you would suggest going to? Great site look forward to getting more involved.

Any word on the Two racquetball tournaments in Flagstaff? I heard from a ton of people that the one to go to is held in July. I heard the other one was in June and one I heard not as many people will show up for it and two the weather is better in July up there. Why would people scedule 2 tournaments within a month up there doesnt make sense.

Yes, it seems there is a long history of racquetball tournaments in Flagstaff during the summer (per Google search), but I think set-up of the flagstaff event is still being worked out. As of today, there is no info or entry form info at the USA racquetball site and couldn't find anything related to 2010 flagstaff events on Google. Hopefully we will get some RPAA people to post on this issue soon!

Slim, there will be a tournament in Flagstaff in June (stay tune for more information). I understand your questioning about why two tournaments in the summer up in Flagstaff. Well I know being a person from here, I would love a reason to get away from the heat and go to a cooler place to play some racquetball. One of the greatest things about RPAA, we are trying to promote racquetball to it's fullest height. We are trying to get a tournament in each month of the year. Something the state has not seen in a very long time. If you look on the tournament section of the web site, you will see, we are getting tournaments all over the state of Arizona. We want to get everyone to participate in these tournaments. Slim, I hope you will be one of the people that will be participating in the up and coming events, we can sure use some good competition. Traditionally the Flagstaff tournament is the 3rd weekend of July. That tournament is still being planned by it's long standing directors.

www.rbinaz.com has a tournament posting, but there aren't any listings for April and May in Arizona and open to all players. There is the Grand Canyon State Games for June 11-13. If a 2nd Flagstaff tournament is being discussed, there isn't enough info yet, but that would be great. Since there are only 2 clubs in Flagstaff, the venue is simple, but the dates haven't been announced.

Yeah BobbyF, I understand what you are saying, I just think that in this time of economic hardship it is unwise for the RPAA to schedule an event just weeks before another sanctioned tournament that has already been planned for quite some time and it appears to me based on what I found on the internet that the Flagstaff tournament has been every year in July. Lets face it if we really want to be growing Racquetball we can't be undercutting tournaments and taking away participants to make another tournament better.

Hey does anyone know if the tournament results have been sent to USA Racquetball yet because they are not reflected in the current rankings, it also says that you only have 30 days to submit so not much time left. Several other state championships from tje same weekend are included so............let me know whats up.
